Proposed Itinerary

Day 1: From Fes to Merzouga passing by Midelt and Erfoud.

Our three-day desert journey from Fez to Marrakech will begin at 8:00 am. The first halt is made in Ifrane after leaving Fes and traveling to the south-east. Also known as the “Lion City.” According to myths and mythology, this city was where the last lion to be seen in this country was seen many years ago. We will keep driving with some breaks throughout the day which include a stop at Midelt. Arriving in Merzouga’s desert location offers the chance to unwind in the hotel’s amenities and take in the picturesque views of the sand dunes. You will ride a camel or a 4×4 vehicle to the sand dunes before dusk. You will arrive at your real Berber tents in the desert as the sun is setting out in the distance. A desert meal, relaxing by the campfire, and listening to old-fashioned music under the stars will all be part of your evening. Time to yourself and a private tent for the night.

 Day 2: Destinations include Merzouga, Rissani, Todra Gorges, and Dades Gorges.

An early wake up to catch some beautiful sunrise pictures, as you leave the glorious beauty of the desert behind you, the journey takes you west towards the famous Todra Gorge. The landscape begins to change as you move towards the open countryside. Nomadic lives of the people in this region is evident and there is a chance to observe the lives of these travelers. The final destination of the day will be Dades Gorge.

 Day 3: Going from Dades to Marrakech

We will start the day with a walk in Dades, giving you more information about how many well-known movies are made at Ourzazate’s renowned “Hollywood in the Desert” during our visit.  And it is worthwhile to see the historical Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, which is included as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.Your excursion ends when you cross the 2,260-meter Tizi n’ Tichka Pass and descend to the plains, arriving in Marrakech by late afternoon.
