4 Days Private Tour from Fes to Marrakesh via the Sahara Desert

Our three-day desert excursion from Fez to Marrakech will commence at 8:00 am. Our first stop will be in Ifrane, also known as the "Lion City," located southeast of Fez. Legend has it that this city was the sighting place of the last lion in Morocco many years ago. Continuing our journey with intermittent breaks, we'll make another stop at Midelt. As we reach the desert location of Merzouga, you'll have the opportunity to relax in the hotel's amenities and admire the breathtaking views of the sand dunes. Before dusk, you'll embark on a camel or 4×4 vehicle ride to explore the dunes. Witnessing the sunset from your authentic Berber tents in the desert will be a memorable experience. Your evening will include a desert meal, relaxation by the campfire, and the soothing tunes of traditional music under the starlit sky. You'll have time for yourself and a private tent for the night.

A tour with 4×4 vehicle in the Sahara Desert, visiting the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi, ancient mines of Mfis, Khamliya village, Hassilabied Oasis, then getting a traditional local dish for lunch to lead back to an overnight in a hotel in Merzouga.

An early wake up to catch some beautiful sunrise pictures, as you leave the glorious beauty of the desert behind you, the journey takes you west towards the famous Todra Gorge. The landscape begins to change as you move towards the open countryside. Nomadic lives of the people in this region is evident and there is a chance to observe the lives of these travelers. The final destination of the day will be Boumalne Dades.

We will start the day with a walk in Dades, giving you more information about how many well-known movies are made at Ourzazate’s renowned “Hollywood in the Desert” during our visit. ­And it is worthwhile to see the historical Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, which is included as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.Your excursion ends when you cross the 2,260-meter Tizi n’ Tichka Pass and descend to the plains, arriving in Marrakech by late afternoon.
