9 Days Tour through Morocco’s Imperial Cities (Private)

We'll begin by picking you up from your hotel to visit the magnificent Hassan II Mosque before continuing our journey to Rabat. In Rabat, you'll have the opportunity to explore the Mechouar of the Royal Palace, the ancient ruins of Chellah, the Mohammed V Mausoleum, and the iconic Hassan Tower. After enjoying lunch, we'll proceed with our journey to Meknes, arriving in the early evening.

After breakfast, we'll commence a tour of Meknes, where we'll visit El Hdim square, Bab El Mansour (the magnificent gate leading to the old city), the Jewish quarter, the Royal Granaries, and the city ramparts. Following this, we'll journey through Volubilis, the captivating Roman ruins, and Moulay Idriss, the revered holy town, before arriving in Fes. For the night, you'll stay at a delightful traditional riad.

Experience a guided exploration of the lively Fes medina, where you'll navigate its maze-like streets adorned with historic mosques and striking green-glazed minarets. Discover the city's splendid palaces and monuments as part of the tour. Moreover, you'll have the chance to visit the famous tannery and ceramic cooperative, where you can observe traditional Moroccan craftsmanship in action.

After breakfast, our journey takes us to Merzouga through the picturesque Middle Atlas region. Along the way, we'll traverse Ifrane, often referred to as the 'Switzerland of Morocco,' and the cedar forests of Azrou, where we'll have the opportunity to hand-feed the monkeys. Following this, we'll head to Midelt for lunch. Continuing our route, we'll follow the scenic Ziz River through the valley, stopping to admire the stunning Ziz Gorges before arriving at our destination in Merzouga.

Today, we'll fully immerse ourselves in the enchanting desert region, embarking on an exploration of the mesmerizing Erg Chebbi dunes. We'll embark on a scenic circuit around the dunes, providing us with glimpses into the nomadic way of life and the captivating contrasts of the desert landscape. Our journey includes a visit to the 'black village' of Khamlia, where we'll be treated to the rhythmic melodies of Gnawa music performed by local musicians. For lunch, we'll indulge in a traditional Berber pizza at the Hassan family camp. In the afternoon, we'll embark on a camel ride to witness the breathtaking sunset over the dunes, culminating in an unforgettable night spent in the desert camp. Here, we'll savor a traditional tagine dinner, sip on refreshing mint tea, and revel in the melodies of traditional Berber music under the starlit sky and the rising moon, creating an unparalleled experience in the Sahara desert.

We'll start the day early to catch the awe-inspiring sunrise over the dunes before heading back to our hotel/riad for breakfast and a revitalizing shower. Our adventure continues with a visit to the bustling Rissane market, followed by a scenic journey through the palm-fringed valleys of Tourog and Tinjdad en route to the Todra Gorge. There, we'll take a leisurely stroll through the Todra Gorges and indulge in lunch at a local restaurant. Later, we'll make our way to our accommodation nestled in the breathtaking Dades Gorge.

After enjoying breakfast, we'll commence a picturesque walk through the gorge, followed by an off-road adventure to explore the breathtaking landscapes. Our journey will take us through El Kelaa Magona, the Valley of the Roses, and the verdant Skoura oasis. Continuing towards Marrakech, we'll make stops at the renowned film studios in Ouarzazate and the iconic Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. Upon arrival in Marrakech, we'll accommodate ourselves in a local hotel or riad located in the lively Jemaa el Fna square for the night.
